Vera M. Shreiner, 89, of Akron, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Conestoga View.

She was born in Lebanon to the late Jonas Martin Ranck and Bertha (Eppley) Schepp, and was the wife of Elmer Shreiner Jr., with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.

Vera was a sewing machine operator.

In addition to her husband, Vera is survived two sons: Terry L., husband of Gail Shreiner, of Maryland; Dale R., husband of Kimberly Shreiner, of Lititz; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son: Larry Shreiner; a great-granddaughter; and a brother: George Ranck.

Services were held Aug. 2 at Stradling Funeral Home, Akron, followed by final commendation and farewell at Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. John McLoughlin, C.SS.R., as celebrant.
