Vilis Muiznieks, 77, of Denver, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born in Rauna, Latvia, he is the son of the late Davis and Milda (Puksis) Muiznieks. He was the husband of Jean Marie (Sassman) Muiznieks of Denver.

Vilis served his country in the U.S. Air Force. During his working years, he owned Will’s Service Center in West Windsor, N.J., and was a master mechanic. He enjoyed programming and the construction of computers and was fluent in seven languages.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons: Scott S., husband of Monique Muiznieks, of Trinidad, West Indies; and Todd B., husband of Kelly Lynn Muiznieks, of Newmanstown; three grandchildren: Sean Paul, Stefan and Melissa; and a brother: Dr. Ansis Muiznieks, of Latvia.

A viewing will be held June 2 from 9-10 a.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St. in Denver, followed by his funeral service with Pastor Sandra Gideon officiating. Interment will follow in the Steinmetz Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Honor Guard.
