William Charles Seaman, 87, worked for Westinghouse, enjoyed karaoke, Green Dragon

William Charles Seaman, 87, of Bowmansville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born July 9, 1930, in Chester, he was a son of the late Harry F. Seaman and Catherine Morgan.

He spent many years in the oil burner service at Ketrick Oil Company, in Eddystone, as a service mechanic. Most his life was spent working at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Lester, as a heavy machine repairman.

He retired in Lancaster County with his lifelong wife, Bobbie. They enjoyed flea markets, the Green Dragon, and time with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Adamstown Rod & Gun Club where he enjoyed spending time with friends and singing karaoke.

William is survived by five children: Diane Powell, Ramona Hamilton, William Seaman, David Seaman, and Steven Seaman; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister: Ramona Rowley; and two canine best friends: Rocky and Babe.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Roberta Joan (née Peters); brother: Harry Seaman; and sister: Catherine Jacobson.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County.
