William ‘Jay Bird’ Oberholtzer, 82, Adamstown, construction worker, Korean vet, loved working on cars

William Jay Oberholtzer, 82, Adamstown, died Feb. 15, 2016, in Ephrata Community Hospital.
Born in Denver, he was the son of the late John B. and Maggie (Lausch) Oberholtzer.
He was a Korean War Army corporal and last worked for T.M.I. Construction. “Jay Bird” was a life member of Adamstown VFW and enjoyed working on cars. Surviving are daughters, Ruby L. (Bryan) Goshert, Carlisle; and Rita L. (John) Ruoss, Denver; son: William J. (Kathy Kolling) Oberholtzer Jr., Zephyrhills, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son: Raymond L.; grandson: Raymond Oberholtzer; sister: Thelma Schnader; and brothers: Davis, Robert and Donald. J.
Services were held Feb. 20 at Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown. Private inurnment was in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville.
