William A. Ludwig, 83, Army vet, Thomson machinist, VFW member, avid fisherman

William A. Ludwig, 83, passed away at the Bailey Center in St. Augustine, Fla., on Aug. 23, 2016.

Bill was born in Hinkletown. He served in the Army where he was a sergeant first class. He also worked as a machinist for the Thomson Corp., formerly of Lancaster, for 31 years. Bill enjoyed fishing, and worked during his retirement as the cashier at the St. Johns County Fishing Pier. He was also a proud life member of the V.F.W.

He is survived by his beloved wife: Nancy; their daughter: Lori (Scott) Beatty; and grandson: Christopher.

He was predeceased by his brother: Ronald Ludwig.

Services will be private.
