19th Convoy returns Sunday

EPHRATA - The Convoy that owns the Guinness Book World Record will be rolling out of
Burle Business Park, New Holland Avenue, Lancaster into Ephrata on
Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, carrying the most precious cargo of
all-Susquehanna Valley "Wish Kids."
Prior to coming through
Ephrata, day-long activities for kids and adults of all ages begins at
8:30 a.m. with the famous auction, food, games, live entertainment and the
largest gathering of clowns in the Susquehanna Valley. The convoy benefits
the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley. Free
shuttle bus transportation will be provided from parking lots of the
Lancaster Catholic High and Grandview Plaza on New Holland
Avenue.
The truck convoy, which last year totaled over 400 trucks
and raised over $250,000 departs from the Burle Business Park at 1:30 p.m.
and will travel on the following route.
• West on Route 30 to
Route 222.
• Route 222 to the Brownstown Exit.
•
Route 772 to Route 272 North.
• Through Akron to Ephrata then
to State Street.
• Route 322 and then returns to Burle
Business Park.
The event is supported by local and national
sponsors, including Fed Ex (Presenting sponsor), Lays, Case new Holland,
L.M. Prange, Edie Waste, Inc., Turkey Hill Dairies, JR Transportation,
WIOV Big 1105, Rockvale Outlets and Esh Foods. Also Bayer Health Care,
Clipper Magazine, U.S. Airways; Capital Blue Cross, Lapp, Edie Waste,
Inc.
There will be fun for the whole family and free admission at
Burle Business park, 1000 New Holland Avenue, Lancaster. Join the
Make-A-Wish foundation for the 19th Annual Mother's Day Convoy this
Sunday.
