Serving Ephrata and Northeastern Lancaster County Since 1878

An Ephrata police officer fired three gunshots Monday night at 255 Duke Street after Michael J. Anderson allegedly pointed a handgun at the officer. The weapon later turned out to be an authentic-looking pellet gun. Two of the shots traveled as far as a quarter block away and the other hit an outside barrier wall of Anderson's home.
