Adam and Alta (Burkhart) Esbenshade celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary recently.

They were married Nov. 15, 1940, at the home of Bishop Paul Graybill, who officiated the ceremony.

The Esbenshades were church planters in Alabama, Connecticut, and Lebanon County. Adam also worked in sales for Heritage Kitchens and Denlinger Feed. Adam enjoyed golfing and hunting. Alta enjoyed quilting and reading.

Alta and Adam have three children: Geraldine, wife of Ivan Martin, Sarasota, Fla.; Wilmer Esbenshade, husband of Janice, of New Holland; and Linda, wife of Ray Geissinger of Mifflintown; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

They celebrated the milestone with a catered meal at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, where they reside. The entire family was able to join them for the celebration.
