Eagles hold off Lebanon

Cocalico withstood a second-half rally Tuesday night in Lebanon to hold on for an exciting 51-50 victory over the host Cedars.

The Eagles led 29-19 at the half before the Cedars climbed back to fall just short in the end.

Christian Graybill and Ryan Schweitzer each scored 14 points to lead Cocalico while Austin Landis chipped in with 12 in the win. Lebanon’s Josh Lopez led all scorers with a game-high 15 points while Drey Murray added 12 points to the Cedars’ attack.

Cocalico evened both its section (2-2) and overall (5-5) records with the win. Lebanon fell to 1-3 in Section Two play (5-4 overall).

In addition to Tuesday’s contest, Cocalico also was in action last Friday night at Wilson where the Bulldogs out-scored Cocalico 27-12 in the middle to quarters to key a 49-31 victory.

Seth Klein led the Bulldogs (4-3) with 11 points while Ryan Glass added 10. Graybill and Spencer Moser both scored six points each for the Eagles in the loss.
