Plans are underway for the 8th Annual Ephrata Chamber of Commerce Ephrata Cup which will be held Wednesday, July 23, 1 p.m. (shotgun start) at Hawk Valley Golf Course.

This year’s exciting event promises to provide both challenging and entertaining golf. The format is comprised of 6 holes Scramble, 6 holes Best Shot and 6 holes Alternate Shot. Golfers will enjoy attempting to get a hole in one for a chance to win spectacular prizes and the competition will really heat up as participants strive to get closest to the pin, make the longest and/or straightest drive and more as they vie for the top spots in several exciting contests. Trophies will be awarded to the three top foursomes with the lowest team scores.

Registration begins at noon, with lunch provided. Immediately following the afternoon round of golf on the beautifully manicured greens, a delicious prime rib and chicken dinner will be served, along with a presentation of the winners and various prizes to be awarded. Also new this year, the top team will have the opportunity to take home a travelling Ephrata Cup trophy (donated by Brown’s Graphic Solutions) that can be displayed throughout the year.

Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, July 23 and join the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce for an afternoon of networking, socializing and just plain fun!
