Husson earns Academic honors 

Two key senior members of the Ephrata High School boys lacrosse team received big honors this past weekend.

Koty Keefer, a First Team All-League performer, was one of 12 players from the Central PA Lacrosse Region to have been selected as All-Americans by the regions coaches. Other L-L standouts to make the team included Zach Ward of Hempfield and Griffin Schultz of Manheim Township.

Fellow Ephrata senior Chris Husson also was honored as an Academic All-American, joining fellow L-L player Dylan Garrett of Lampeter-Strasburg.

The complete list of All-Americans included: Keefer; Schultz; Ward; Jesse Schonbrunner, Kennard-Dale; Max Haldeman, Central York; Matthew Shermot, Governor Mifflin; Matt Close, Wilson; Tim Hickey, Trinity; Nathan Fox, Lewisburg; Nick Treon, Danville; and Max Breschi and Sid Ewell of District Three champion Carlisle.

The complete list of Academic All-Americans included: Husson; Garrett; Jake Cronin, Hershey; Tyler Blue, Danville; and Scott McAvoy, Wyomissing.

The Coach of the Year was Bill Hughes of Wilson, while the Assistant Coach of the Year was Wilson’s Joe Bialek.
