Ephrata High School and Millersville University product Brandon Miller continues to impress in his first season of professional baseball.

And this week, he added another feather to his cap.

Just last week, Miller was selected to play in the second-ever Pioneer League-Northwest League All-Star Game held Tuesday at Lindquist Field in Ogden, UT.

Monday, he was named the starter for the NorthWest League squad in Tuesday’s contest.

Miller got the start and faced four hitters in the top of the first—his lone inning of work. After getting the first batter to pop up, Miller did allow a one-out double before retiring the next two hitters on a foul out and a ground out.

This past Saturday at Spokane, Miller made his final start before the all-star break. The big right-hander struck out three and did not walk a batter in three perfect frames, lowering his ERA to 3.48 in 33.2 innings pitched (eight starts).

Miller (1-2) leads the NorthWest League in WHIP, holding a 0.92. He has 26 strikeouts and just five walks on the season.
