Adamstown Community Days set

By on April 29, 2015

Adamstown Community Days celebration will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 22 to 24, in the community park.
There is no charge for the entertainment. Spectators can bring their own lawn chairs and settle down under the tent to enjoy the music. For those who prefer reserved seats, they are available for $10 per seat.
“We’re already getting checks for those reserved seats,” said Joe Dietrich, ACD chairman.
One of the most popular entertainment groups is Lights Out, performing Saturday at 8 p.m. It’s a group similar to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons from the 1960s, and most recently from the movie “Jersey Boys.”
“They do a non-stop, 90-minute show,” Dietrich said, “People are just amazed at their talent. They were here last year, and people were asking me after their show to please book them again for 2015.”
Other entertainment will be The Uptown Band presenting a blend of contemporary music, and Flamin’ Dick and The Hot Rods.
Additional information regarding reserved seats for all three shows as well as event timeline is available at the ACD Web site or by calling Dietrich at 484-256-0851.
Lots of food will be available including the Adamstown Rod and Gun Club serving its famous trout chowder and chicken barbecue since the first celebration in 2003. Abundant seating is available under a covered pavilion.
There will be games, carnival rides, free artistic face painting, a magic show and karaoke. Cocalico Cruisers Car Club will display antique and interesting cars on Friday night.
There is no admission or parking charge for the event.
The event will end with a popular 10,000-rocket fireworks show by D&M Fireworks on Sunday, May 24, at 10 p.m.
