Celebrate Christmas in July with DVGRR
Many wonderful dogs of all ages are looking for a second chance at a loving home with the help of Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue. Golden Gateway July 9 from 10 a.m. through noon DVGRR will conduct a "Meet & Greet the Goldens" and open house at its facility in Reinholds.
During the "Meet & Greet" event the public is invited to see and interact with the dogs currently available for adoption. DVGRR is a non-profit organization dedicated to new beginnings for displaced Golden Retrievers.
Tours of Golden Gateway, the halfway house where the dogs live and are cared for while awaiting new homes, will be conducted. The event is a great opportunity to see the variations in age, size, activity level and personality among Golden Retrievers.
Adoptions may be made to pre-approved applicants July 9. However, most adoptions will be finalized within a short period afterward. Approved applicants are encouraged to come early to meet the dogs and sign up for ones in which they have an interest by 11:30 a.m. Other persons considering future adoptions will also have the opportunity to meet the dogs and complete applications on site that day.
"Meet & Greet" events are held the second Saturday of each month. More than 3,200 dogs have been rescued by DVGRR since it was founded in 1993.
Golden Gateway is located at 60 Vera Cruz Road in Reinholds. For more information, visit dvgrr.org or by calling (610) 678-4981.
