Upon further investigation, the occupants of the vehicle, David Turner, 19, and Michael Ulysse, 23, both of Denver, were observed to be in possession of marijuana as well as various items of drug paraphernalia. Both will be sent a summons to appear in front of District Judge Nancy Hamill.

HIT-AND-RUN: At 11:10 p.m. July 1, a driver struck a Windstream phone pole near the intersection of North Reading Road and Willow Street in Adamstown Borough, and then left the scene. A witness, who was behind the hit-and-run driver, obtained the registration plate number and called 911. The driver, identified as Michael Bordner, 33, was apprehended at his residence in Terre Hill. He was cited for the hit-and-run, as well as driving on a suspended license.

HIT-AND-RUN; Police said a vehicle struck the embankment of JJ Stoner Mechanical, 2355 N. Reading Road, East Cocalico Township, July 9. A witness said he observed the vehicle strike the embankment, which damaged the landscaping and a traffic sign, and then left the scene. The striking vehicle is described as a dark green, older model, Jeep Cherokee. The driver is described as young white male, thin, with dark-colored curly hair. The vehicle is thought to have damage to the front passenger’s side. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Officer Steven Savage at 336-1725.

SOLICITING: Police received a complaint July 9 of someone going door to door soliciting in the 300 block of Main Street, Denver. Police found Ricardo Flowers, 27, Reading, soliciting without a permit as required by the Borough of Denver. He will be sent a summons for the code violation.
