The East Cocalico Police Department reported the following:

ENDANGERMENT: An Ephrata woman was driving intoxicated with two children, ages 1 and 4, in the car when she struck a utility pole and large boulder in East Cocalico Township last month, police said.

Shalene R. Boyer, 34, of the first block of Irene Avenue, admitted to authorities that she intentionally swerved the vehicle to scare the 4-year-old child but lost control of the car, according to East Cocalico Township police.

The crash occurred in the 300 block of South Reamstown Road just after 7 p.m. on Jan. 5.

The 4-year-old suffered a head injury and was treated at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, according to Officer Roger Kreisher Jr.

Boyer was sent a summons to appear on charges of endangering the welfare of children, DUI, reckless driving, failure to use safety belts and driving without valid inspection, court documents show.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An officer responded for a disturbance at Cocalico Family and Sports Medicine, 30 West Swartzville Road, East Cocalico Township, at 3:50 p.m. Jan. 24. Adam Hemphill, 31, arrived at the office and began yelling at staff demanding drugs. It was determined he was under the influence of an unknown substance. He was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

HIT-AND-RUN: A hit-and-run crash was reported in the 1000 block of North Reading Road, East Cocalico Township, Jan. 25. Sometime between the hours of 8 p.m. Jan. 24 and 7:20 a.m. Jan. 25 an unknown vehicle traveling northbound struck a parked vehicle and several mailboxes. The vehicle fled the scene. Anyone with information should contact Officer Steve Savage at 336-1725.

WARRANT: Officers received information that a 17-year-old male with a warrant was at an address in the 100 block of Denver Road, East Cocalico Township, at 4:11 p.m. Jan. 26. He was taken into custody and taken to the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.

ROBBERY: Officers responded to a reported robbery at the Black Horse Lodge, 2180 North Reading Road, East Cocalico Township, at 12:23 p.m. Jan. 27. A male demanded, and then left with, an undisclosed amount of money. If anyone has information regarding this incident, contact Detective Neff at 336-1725.

The Ephrata Police Department reported the following:

ASSAULT: Police responded to the first block of East Main Street, Adamstown Borough, for an assault at 11:10 p.m. Jan. 29. Jeremy B. Fullerton, 20, Denver, was arrested and charged with simple assault for striking and choking a resident. Fullerton was taken to Lancaster County Central Arraignment.
