Pre-kindergarten workshop planned by Cocalico School District

By on October 28, 2015

Many parents and students alike experience mixed feelings about beginning kindergarten. The Cocalico School District is working hard to make the transition into school positive by providing free, fun, and educational workshops. Residents of the Cocalico School District who have a child attending kindergarten in the fall of 2016 are encouraged to attend the workshops along with their children.

The first workshop, entitled “Phonemic Awareness,” will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Reamstown Elementary. The district continue to offer four additional workshops after the first of the year at the other elementary school locations. The dates, locations and content are listed on the district Web site, www.cocalico.org. For more information or to RSVP, call the Cocalico Elementary Reading Office at (717) 336-1505, or email Kristin Slovik at kristin_slovik@cocalico.org.
