It’s a cause for celebration on Oct. 25 in Denver.

REAL Life Community Services will be noting three major accomplishments this year as the organization holds a banquet that day at the Denver Fire Company social hall.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6:30 p.m. Nearly two dozen items comprise the silent auction. The banquet celebrates three major accomplishments during the year.

“I’ll be sharing about our social services, called “the Hub,” said Rodney Redcay, executive director of REAL Life Community Services. “We now have a part-time social worker, Chris Hibbert, and hopefully she’ll be fulltime when the Denver House Project is completed.

“Declaration House is the name we’re calling the former Denver House. Much information regarding this project, plus a call for volunteer help on Saturdays for various jobs will be explained.”

Reports from Mike Brill, ministry director; Sandy Thorpe, Transitional Home for Moms director; Donna Smith, Power Packs director; and Redcay, Campus Ministry director will be given.

“We’re fortunate to have a number of new volunteers,” said Redcay. “They, along with our other volunteers, will be recognized, as well as our board of directors.”
