♫ ♪ Women who sing invited to open house

By on August 16, 2017

Members of Red Rose City Chorus perform locally at retirement communities and banquets, The Ware Center, and events like Lititz’s Second Friday, Chocolate Walk, the Lions Club Car Cruise, and the Lititz Rotary Club Craft Show.

Women of all ages who are interested in singing a cappella are invited to attend an open house hosted by Red Rose City Chorus.

Visitors are welcome to attend any or all of three rehearsals, set for Aug. 28, Sept. 11, and Sept. 18, from 7 to 10 p.m., at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 Market St., Lititz.

Red Rose City Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a world-wide women’s barbershop organization. The chorus performs songs in both the barbershop and a cappella style, and they describe their enjoyment of their craft as “Glee for grownups.”

Those who attend the open house will learn a song, and will be welcome to perform with the chorus at their annual show at the Ware Center in Lancaster on Sept. 23. All learning materials will be provided. Reading music is not necessary. Melody and harmony singers of all voice parts are needed.

The open house is free. Registration is encouraged, but not necessary. Call Cheryl at 627-1587 to sign up to attend.
