ArtsFest will feature fine arts, music, and pyrotechnics

The inaugural Lititz ArtsFest, set for this Saturday, April 27, in Lititz Springs Park, will focus on local artisans, with a very patriotic finish.

As the event is new to Lititz, below are some details to help you navigate the day.

Schedule

8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — The park will be closed to visitors during event set-up.

8 to 10 a.m. — Attendees will be permitted to put down blankets at the fireworks field behind the park from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.

12:30 p.m. — Gates open. There are three admission gates: the Welcome Center on North Broad Street; Maple Street, near the bandshell; and in the rear of the park at the Boy Scout Pavilion.

12:45 to 4:30 p.m. — Fine and performing arts demonstrations will take place throughout the park. Food will be sold. A KidZone entertainment area will also be open during this time period.

6:30 p.m. — Concert in Gazebo. The Lititz Community Chorus and Lititz Community Band will give a one-hour concert in the Oehme Gazebo. Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets, as no seating will be set up in this area.

7:15 p.m. — Concert at Bandshell. Red Rose City Chorus will perform a 30-minute set in front of the bandshell. Priority seating applies.

8:10 p.m. — The Lancaster Symphony will perform. Priority seating applies. Note: “cannons” will be used in the performance. Loud noises are to be expected.

In the event of rain, the concerts will be held at the Warwick High School auditorium.

8:30 p.m. — Gate closings. The admission gates at the Welcome Center and the Maple Street Entrances will be closing at 8:30 p.m. Guests arriving after 8:30 p.m. will be directed to the Boy Scout Pavilion gate for admittance.

9:50 p.m. — Fireworks. The grand finale to ArtsFest will be a 20-minute pyromusical produced by Celebration Fireworks.

Admission

There is a fee to enter ArtsFest. Tickets for general admission cost: ages two to 10, $3; ages 11 to 17, $5; age 18 and older, $7. There is an additional cost for priority seating at the Lancaster Symphony concert. Ages 11 to 17 pay a $10 admission fee for admission plus priority seating. Those 19 and older pay $20.

There will be no advanced sales for this event. All tickets sales will take place at the entrance gates.

  • Guests coming to the park are urged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to watch the symphony, band, choruses, and fireworks. The only event seats provided to watch the symphony will be the benches at the band shell
  • No dogs are permitted at ArtsFest.
  • Handicap parking is available near the Maple Street gate.
