Bluegrass in New Holland
Larry Stephenson and his band will be in New Holland on Saturday, April 22 at Garden Spot Fire Rescue, 339 E. Main St., New Holland. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the music will start at 6.
Highly regarded as one of bluegrass music’s finest high lead and tenor vocalist, Larry Stephenson has been headlining concerts for over 25 years. He formed the Larry Stephenson Band in 1989 while living in his home state of Virginia, and since that time, they have toured widely, recorded frequently, all the time nurturing their distinctive sound.
Larry’s crystal clear and easily recognizable tenor voice has provided a musical home for some of the finest sideman in contemporary bluegrass history. Many appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and RFD TV have made the Larry Stephenson Band a fan favorite all across the U.S. and Canada.
Also on the program, offering some of the finest in bluegrass and Americana music, is Scott Eager and The High Lonesome Sound.
Food will also be available by the Garden Spot Fire Rescue. There is a requested donation of $15 for adults, with a lower cost of $10 for ages 13 to 17. Children 12 and under are admitted free. To learn more, call 354-8311.
