Eicher Arts Center kicks off 2015 season

Eicher Arts Center,a historic venue dating back to 1734 in Ephrata’s Tom Grater Park, recently announced its 2015 schedule. In addition to expanding its free, monthly Sunday events, Eicher will be offering a variety of affordable evening performances; including a coffeehouse singer/songwriter series and a Valentine’s Day dinner dance featuring Lavacave. Several of the events will offer a BYOB option for those over 21.

Joining the many popular traditional events such as the Annual Art Show, St. Patty’s Day celebration, Native American program, and the Jigger Day family fun event; will be such diverse acts as Shane Speal’s Snake Oil Band (cigar box guitar blues), Portal Percussion chamber ensemble, and Anna & Elizabeth (traditional mountain music). Other performers include The Wild Hymns (blues/folk/jazz fusion), John Protopapas (classical Indian sitar), and contemporary folk artists: John Terlazzo & The Voices In The Hall, Chrysalis, and Root & Wing.

The season begins with an appearance by Megan Donley of The Wild Hymns.
