EPAC’s production of ‘Hair’ opens April 27
Fight the power! What better way to fight the man than with long hair and rock and roll? Claude, Berger, Sheila, and the hippies of the Big Apple come together to fight against the war draft. But when Claude gets a one-way ticket to Vietnam, he has a tough decision to make.
If you’re up for a wild ride, Hair is the show for you. It’s a trippy, full of sexy rebellion, radical rock, and the probing questions that face every one of us. Theater fans will love finding all of the hidden Shakespeare gems, and music fans will be dancing in their seats.
“Hair” is being directed by Pat Kautter, with musical direction by Zach Smith. The young and energetic cast of 29 will be headed by EPAC favorite Sean Deffley and “Heathers” alumni Maggie Shevlin, along with EPAC newcomer Bo Irwin.
“Hair” will run from April 27 through May 13, at the Sharadin Bigler Theatre, 320 Cocalico St., Ephrata. Tickets can be purchased at ephrataperformingartscenter.com or by calling 733-7966 x1.
“Hair” is rated R, as it contains full frontal nudity, frank sexual talk, adult language, drug use, and adult situations.
