Gala will benefit Arc

By on April 15, 2015

The Arc of Lancaster County invites the community to its first Light Up the Night Gala on Saturday, May 2, at 6 p.m. at Bent Creek Country Club, Lititz.

The event will feature dinner, dancing and a cash bar. Auction items include: two tickets to the 2015 US Women’s Open (for any day of the event); a weekend at a beachside condo in Ocean City Md.; a local handmade quilt, fine jewelry, event tickets (Sight and Sound Theatres, Fulton Theatre, The Ware Center, and Prima Theatre), art work (from local artists Laura Mark Finberg, Frederick Swarr, and Bob Doney), IT repair service, and much more.

Funds raised by the Gala allow The Arc of Lancaster County to help people with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD) across their lifespan by offering one on one support by phone, e-mail or attending meetings as requested; trainings to community agencies, schools, and people with disabilities and their families; and expand programs such as Sibshop (sibling rec program), Relationship Training (teaching adults how to have healthy relationships and set boundaries), our Moving Forward session (connecting family members whose adult child no longer lives at home); and Arc Angel gift program during the Christmas season.
