Rock-n-Glow is a go!

The Manheim Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the fifth annual Rock-N-Glow 5K race and pre-race party, to be held on Historic Market Square in downtown Manheim on Saturday, June 3.

The event will begin at 6 p.m., with music provided by a live DJ; fun activities for the kids, including a bounce house; local vendors; and food served by local restaurants.

The 5K race will begin promptly at 9 p.m. Along the race route will be music, light shows, and spectators cheering on the runners. Top finishes will receive a Stiegel Glassworks 1976 hand blown glass award.

“We are thrilled to roll in the fifth year of this family-fun event,” said Kelly Lauver, director of the Manheim Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage everyone young and old, runner or non-runner, to come to the square in support of our wonderful community.”

The race is expected to attract approximately 2,000 runners to take on the streets of Manheim decked out in glow gear. Preregistration is open now at Same-day registration will also be available. Participants who register will receive a free glow-in-the-dark race t-shirt, while supplies last.

Registration is $24.99 per adult 15 and older, $19.99 per youth 14 and younger, and groups of four cost $19.99 per runner. Racers will also receive a finishers’ medal, while supplies last.
