Sing along with ‘Grease’ at Penn Cinema

By on August 12, 2015

Penn Cinema, 541 Airport Road, will show a sing-along version of the 1978 classic musical “Grease” on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 2 and 7 p.m.

“Grease,” set in the 1950s, stars John Travolta as the rebellious Danny, who is maddeningly attracted to Sandy, a ‘good girl’ played by Olivia Newton-John. It also stars Stockard Channing as Betty, Jeff Conaway as Kinickie, Didi Conn as Frenchie, and Lancaster’s own Barry Pearl as Doody.

The sing-along version at Penn Cinema will include the lyrics on screen, so audiences can belt it out to their hearts content for just under two hours of let-your-hair-down fun. Brush up on the soundtrack. Remember “Greased Lightning’’ or “Beauty School Dropout?” How about “Summer Nights” with that slick slide up the scale? Get your vocal cords ready!

Tickets cost $10.50. For details, visit penncinema.com or fathomevents.com.
