This year’s event on Nov. 27 will also feature “The Belsnickel,” sometimes referred to as  “Anti-Clause.”

The event as has been the tradition, is sponsored by the Ephrata Merchants Association.

Santa will arrive at the Ephrata National Bank to retrieve the magical book of children’s names from the vault. The Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company will need to assist Santa off the roof with the ladder truck in order to make his way to the much anticipated return to the train station to greet the children and receive their Christmas wishes. IMG_0634_Fotor

There are many firsts for this year’s event. Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum (www.landisvalleymuseum.org) will be providing horse-drawn wagon rides throughout Downtown Ephrata the night of the celebration. Rides will be available from 5:30-7:30.

Also new this year, ‘The Belsnickel’ will make his return to Ephrata. Children, here is your last chance to make sure Santa knows you’ve been nice this year!  More on Belsnickel at:   www.indobase.com/holidays/christmas/characters/belsnickel.html
