Ephrata National Bank has taken to Facebook to reassure customers of its commitment to the local region and refute speculation that the bank was a takeover target.

The bank’s Facebook page,  posted on Nov. 12, told customers directly  that the bank isn’t for sale.Akron ENB

“We would also like to address rumors being perpetuated about a possible future acquisition of ENB,” the post noted. “Our board, management and employees remain steadfastly committed to our mission statement, which is To remain an independent community bank of undisputed integrity, serving the communities of northern Lancaster County and beyond.”

ENB also went as far as to welcome BB&T’s entrance in the region as it officially took over all Susquehanna Bank branches. www.facebook.com/EphrataNationalBank/?fref=ts

ENB said it “would like to welcome BB&T to Lancaster County and look forward to a healthy competition to serve those living here. We believe a diversity of banks strengthens our financial system and fair competition benefits consumers.”

“To offer state of the art financial products and services of high quality and value at an affordable price. To provide unsurpassed personal service, delivered by a highly-dedicated professional team.” We’ve done this since our founding in 1881 and look forward to doing so for a long time to come.”
