Adeline K. Slabaugh, 90, Ephrata, homemaker, mother of seven, married 66 years

Adeline K. Slabaugh, 90, of 171A Sensenig Road, Ephrata, formerly of McGaheysville, Va., died at her home Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015.

Her husband, Eli M. Slabaugh, survives. They observed their 66th wedding anniversary on Feb. 10. Born in Oden, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Simon S. Kemp and Lena (Wagler) Kemp Graber.

A homemaker, she was a member of Pike Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg, Va..

In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children: Dorothy (Chester) Grove, Harrisonburg, Va.; David (Esther) Slabaugh, Hartville, Ohio; LaVerne (Margaret) Slabaugh, Hartville, Ohio; Anna (Luke) Sensenig, New Holland; William (Sharon) Slabaugh, New Holland; Steven (Eunice) Slabaugh, McGaheysville, Va.; Michelle (Jay) Martin, Ephrata; 29 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Katie Stoll, Loogootee, Ind.; and Rosie Miller, Montgomery, Ind.

She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter: Sophia Slabaugh; two brothers: Leroy Kemp and David Kemp; and a sister: Edith Wagler.

Services were held Nov. 18 at Pike Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg, Va.. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
