Adin H. Martin, 85, farmer, father of eight, attended Clearview Mennonite Church

Adin H. Martin, 85, of Mount Joy, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at home.

He was born in Ephrata to Ervin and Anna (Horst) Martin, and was the husband of Martha Z. (Horst) Martin.

He was a member of Clearview Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). Adin was a farmer.

In addition to his wife, Adin is survived by seven children: Erma, wife of Carl Sensenig, of Denver; Harlan, husband of Lois (High) Martin, of New Washington, Ohio; Neal, husband of Susan (Martin) Martin, of MacIntire, Iowa; Daniel, husband of Jane (Rutt) Martin, of Ashland, Ohio; Charles, husband of Ruth Elaine (Burkholder) Martin, Loysville; Ralph, husband of Dorothy (Horst) Martin, of Elizabethtown; Abner, husband of Ruth (Weaver) Martin, of Mount Joy; a son-in-law: Omar Wenger of Bellingham, Mass.; three sisters: Elsie, wife of the late Lester Brubaker; Alta, wife of the late Aaron Leid; Nora, wife of Elam Hoover; a brother-in-law: Paul Snyder; 34 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Arlene Wenger; three brothers: Elvin, Ammon, and Earl Martin; a sister: Miriam Snyder; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 2 at Clearview Mennonite Church, Manheim, with Bishop Lester Martin officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
