Anna ‘Ann’ F. Wolf, 98, Vertie’s sales clerk, Golden Years member, enjoyed making Easter candy

Anna “Ann” F. Wolf, 98, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of our heavenly father on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Ephrata Manor.

She was born in Wyomissing to the late Lee and Emma (Kurtz) Arnold, and was the wife of the late Carl E. Wolf, who passed away in 1992. They were married for 56 years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ann was a sales clerk for Vertie’s in Ephrata. She was a member of the Golden Years Club at the Ephrata Rec Center and a former member of the Ephrata Lioness Club. She enjoyed making Easter candy, knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, and word searches. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed the trips she took with the Golden Years Club, especially the Caribbean cruises.

Ann is survived by two daughters: Carol James (Jerry) of Glendale, Ore.; Fay J. (Ginger) Mills of St. George, Utah; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Marie Weidman.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m., at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, with Pastor Henry E. Herbener officiating. Interment will take place in the Mount Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Akron.
