Anna M. Paparo, 87, homemaker, wonderful cook and passionate flower gardener

Anna M. Paparo, 87, Lancaster, died peacefully Nov. 21, 2016, at Ephrata Manor Retirement Community.

Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Mary Hall LaRosa.

A homemaker, Anna was the loving wife of the late Joseph R. Paparo Jr., who died in June of this year.

Anna was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lancaster. Her interests included: sewing, crocheting, and bowling. She was a wonderful cook, delighting her family and friends over the years with superb meals. Anna was a passionate flower gardener, tending to her many rose bushes she planted with love over the years at her home.

Surviving is a son: Anthony J., husband of Sharon Paparo, of Wimberley, Texas, a daughter, Deborah A. Paparo of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Alicia, John, and Elizabeth; a brother: William, husband of Flo LaRosa, of Gastonia, N.C.; and a sister: Frances Brendlinger of Lancaster. Preceding her in death are three brothers and one sister.

Service were held at the Buch Funeral Home, Lititz, Nov. 28. Interment was in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster.
