Anna Mae Stauffer Weaver, 89, nurse, Martin’s bakery worker, enjoyed sewing, family gatherings

Anna Mae (Sensenig) Stauffer Weaver, 89, formerly of Lititz, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Earl Township to the late Levi and Mary (Groff) Sensenig. She was the wife of the late Edwin S. Stauffer, first husband, who passed away in June 1987; and Paul M. Weaver, second husband, who passed away in March 2007.

She was a member of Metzler Mennonite Church, Ephrata, worked as a former practical nurse for the late Dr. Robert Hess of Terre Hill for many years, later worked in the bakery of the former Hollinger’s Market and Martin’s Country Market, both of Ephrata, prior to her retirement. Anna Mae enjoyed sewing and family gatherings.

Anna Mae is survived by a stepson: Ronald E., husband of Shirley (Dickel) Habecker, of Manheim; three stepdaughters: Barbara E., wife of Earl L. Martin, of Lebanon; Carol A., wife of Eugene K. Martin, of Lititz; Esther S., wife of John Herr, of Ephrata; 10 stepgrandchildren; 25 stepgreat-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; sister: Helen, wife of Harold Ressler, of Ephrata.

In addition to her parents and late husbands, Anna Mae is preceded in death by a stepson: Lester Stauffer; two stepgrandsons; two brothers: Levi M. Sensenig Jr. and Albert Sensenig; and two sisters: Gladys Weber and Arlene Pharis.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Metzler Mennonite Church, 515 W. Metzler Road, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 10 a.m., with Pastors Nevin Horning, Leroy Martin and Richard Buch officiating. Interment will take place in the Middle Creek Brethren Cemetery.
