Arlene H. Zimmerman, 77, homemaker, member of Lime Rock Mennonite, enjoyed babysitting

Arlene H. Martin Zimmerman, 77, formerly of Lititz, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Harry Z. and Suzanna (Horst) Wenger. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ivan N. Zimmerman (2003); and her first husband: Leroy H. Martin (1994).

As a homemaker, Arlene enjoyed gardening, reading and babysitting. She was a member of Lime Rock Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Arlene is survived by a daughter: Virginia W. Martin of Lititz; two sons: Allen W. Martin; Roy W., husband of Jolene H. Martin, both of Lititz; three grandchildren; 11 stepchildren: Carol Ann, wife of Edwin Martin of East Earl; Brenda M., wife of Ernest Hahn of Narvon; Lorene, wife of Paul Burkholder Jr., of Ephrata; Marian, wife of Galen Byler of Eureka, Nevada; Joyce, wife of James Weaver of Lebanon; Ivan Jr., husband of Brenda (Holland) Zimmerman of Nottingham; Mary Lou, wife of Robert Weaver of Landisburg; Gerald, husband of Jenny (Klinger) Zimmerman of Nottingham; Judy, wife of Raudel Cavarrubias of Eureka, Nevada; Ernie Zimmerman of Eureka, Nevada; Lisa, wife of Shannon Martin of Terre Hill; 36 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Raymond, husband of Anna Mary Wenger of Lititz; Elmer, husband of Anna Wenger of Manheim; Earl, husband of Ruth Wenger of Blue Ball.

In addition her husbands, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Natalie Grace Martin and Nicole Beth Martin, a brother: Lloyd Wenger; and a sister: Nora Wenger.

Services were held Sept. 28 at Lime Rock Mennonite Church, Lititz, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery.
