Audrey L. Kelec, 89, Ephrata, worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing, enjoyed reading

Audrey L. Kelec, 89, of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Ephrata Manor.

She was born in Tarentum to the late Neal and Kathryn (Hobaugh) Barber, and was the wife of the late George C. Kelec.

Audrey was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Jamestown Business College. During her working years, she had been employed as a secretary at Kunzler and Co. and at Millersville University; her last employment was at Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Reamstown. After retirement, she was the loving caregiver of her two grandchildren, Laura and Shawn. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling with her daughter Cindy’s family, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by two daughters: Cynthia, wife of Dale Brubaker of Ephrata; Donna K., wife of Robert Pleis, of Brownstown; four grandchildren: Laura, wife of Michael Bricker; Shawn Brubaker, Terri Keiper, Jennifer Keiper; and a great-grandson: Zachary Keiper.
