By on October 10, 2018

Barbara Ann Morgan, 70, of Akron, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Weir.

Barb was an active member in her church, Worship Center, and she loved leading bus trips to New York City with Barb’s Bus Buddies. She found joy spending valuable time with friends but her biggest joy came from spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and three grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter: Debbie, wife of Greg Glass of Lancaster; three grandsons: Blake, Gavin, and Kyle Glass; brother: Ron, husband of Jeanne of Bayside, N.Y.; sister: Susie of New York City; four nephews and a niece; and godmother: Patsy, wife of Bob Murray of Middletown, Del.

Barb will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but they celebrate that she is now in the arms of Jesus.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the staff of WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital’s ICU staff and respiratory department for their love, care, and support during Barb’s last earthly days.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, in Barb’s memory.
