Barbara Ann Schickram, 87, Science Press worker, enjoyed collecting postcards, playing marimba

Barbara Ann Schickram, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Conestoga View.

She was born in Akron to the late Edward and Mamie (Miller) Schickram.

Barbara was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Akron, enjoyed traveling, collecting post cards, and playing the piano and marimba. She previously worked for Science Press in Ephrata.

Barbara is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion: Henry Bucks, in 1986; two brothers: Harold and Arlan Schickram; and a sister: Ruth Wike.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m., at the Lincoln Cemetery in Ephrata Township.
