Beatrice Hoover, 95, worked at Hemmerichs, cafeteria at Denver Elementary

Beatrice F. Hoover, 95, of Reinholds, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Mifflin Center.

She was born in Reinholds to the late Harry and Susan (Mellinger) Hirneisen, and was the wife of the late Reuben Hoover, who passed away in 1958.

Beatrice enjoyed reading and scrap booking, yard work, cooking and hosting family. She loved going for long drives in the country. During her working years, she worked at Hemmerichs and as a cafeteria worker for Denver Elementary.

Beatrice is survived by two sons: Dennis J., husband of Eileen Hoover of Gettysburg; Thomas A., husband of Cindy Hoover of Peoria, Ariz.; six grandchildren: James, Jason, Michelle, Beth, Nicole and Lauren; five great-grandchildren; a brother: Park Hirneisen of Reinholds and a sister: Joyce Keith of Denver.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Dallas, Wilbur and Grace Hirneisen.

A viewing will be held Jan. 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver, followed by funeral services held at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Trout officiating. Interment will take place in the Swamp Cemetery.
