Betty J. Lausch Buch, 89, Walter W. Moyer worker, enjoyed public sales, gardening

Betty J. (Martin) Lausch Buch, 89, of Clay Township, Mount Airy, passed away on Nov. 21, 2017, at Keystone Villa, Ephrata.

Betty was born in Warwick Township to Harry W. Martin and Adelia Martin on June 8, 1928.

Betty worked in production at the RCA plant in Lancaster for 15 years, and in garment manufacturing at Walter W. Moyer of Ephrata for 20. She volunteered with Durlach-Mount Airy Fire Company.

She loved public sales, eating at Bright’s Restaurant, and raising vegetables and flowers, which she would give away to friends and acquaintances. She was a member of Hopeland United Methodist and a lifelong member of Mount Airy Union Sunday School where she taught for many years.

Preceding Betty in death were her parents; and two husbands: Carl Wilbur Lausch and Clyedth Buch.

Surviving Betty are three sons: Michael C. Lausch of Newmanstown; Douglas N. Lausch, husband of Denise (Page), of Ephrata; and Timothy E. Lausch, husband of Frances A. (Marshall), of Mount Airy; two granddaughters: Whitney M., wife of Jesse Hilsher of Elizabethtown; and Megan Lausch, of Mount Airy; one grandson: Jonathan C. Lausch of Mount Airy; and one step-grandson: Clinton Sweigert, husband of Jenn, of Bethel. Also surviving are siblings: Benjamin Martin of Ephrata; Jim Shenenberger, husband of Betty, of Akron; and Shirley, wife of Donald Mellinger of Ephrata.

Funeral services were held Nov. 27 at Hopeland United Methodist Church, Lititz, with Rev. Jody B. Sambrick officiating. Interment followed at Middle Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
