Bruce B. Leicey, 88, Korea vet, Dutchman Construction worker, Ephrata Amvets member

Bruce B. Leicey, 88, of the Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home, Philadelphia; formerly of Brownstown, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016.

He was born in Rothsville, Lancaster County, the son of the late Chester L. and Bertha S. Graybill Leicey.

During his working years, he was a heavy equipment operator for Hardaway Co., Odenton, Md.; and part-time for Dutchman Construction, Brownstown. A U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, Mr. Leicey served as a sergeant with the 3359 Company B 44th Engineer Construction Battalion receiving a Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars. A member of the Ephrata Amvets and Elks, he also attended the Ebenezer Evangelical Congregational Church, Brownstown. He enjoyed Roger Whitaker music.

He is survived by his niece: Nancy Gentili; and nephew: Robert Gentili.

He was preceded in death by siblings: George Leicey and Virginia Gentili.

Private interment will be held in Brownstown Cemetery.
