Cecelia M. Crills, 79, Ephrata, Cinderella, Dutchmaid seamstress, enjoyed bird watching

Cecelia M. Crills, 79, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at her residence.

She was born in Farmersville to the late Paul and Madeline (Martin) Burkholder and was the wife of Robert S. Crills with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Cecelia was a member of the Grace E.C. Church, Ephrata. During her working years, she was a seamstress for Yorktowne Manufacturing, Cinderella Knitting Mills, and Dutchmaid, and later she cleaned at Hamilton Equipment. She enjoyed reading novels, going to the beach, bird watching, and going to Disney World with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: Shawn, husband of Nicole “Nikki” (Eberly) Crills of Denver; three daughters: Kathleen, widow of the late James Gottlieb of Ephrata; Karen, wife of Richard Ladner of Sewell, N.J.; Lisa McDonald of Ephrata; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Glen, husband of Janice Burkholder of Akron; Kenneth Burkholder of Bernville; Curvin Burkholder of Berks County; and two sisters: Marlene Bell of Bernville and Rhoda Renninger of Berks County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia Ann Crills; three sisters: Pauline Boyer, Ruthann Burkholder, and Faye Burkholder.

Services were held Jan. 19 at Grace E.C. Church, Ephrata, with Pastors Philip Walck and Shawn Crills officiating. Interment was in the Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery.
