Charles N. Potts, 81, Air National Guard vet, worked at Sunline, devoted to mission work

Charles N. “Charlie” Potts, 81, Mohnton, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in Country Meadows of Reading.

Born in Brecknock Township, Berks County, a son of the late Charles S. and Mary F. (Kline) Potts, he was married 57 years to Grace P. (Wolfe) Potts.

Charlie was a 1955 Gov. Mifflin High School graduate and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, Morgantown. He was in the 148th Fighter Squadron of the Air National Guard and worked for Branch Motor Express, Reading; Graco Industries; and Sunline Coach.

Devoted to mission work with church and youth groups, he also enjoyed Reading Fairgrounds races, polka and country western music, antiques, car shows and animals. Charlie was always seen with a smile and a wave.

Also surviving are his son: Mark C. Potts; grandson: Jonathan M. Potts, both of Reading; and brother: Curtis Potts, Mohnton.

A brother, Donovan, predeceased him.

Funeral services were held July 8 from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with the Rev. Richard J. Rimert Jr. and Rev. Lyle Neal officiating. Burial was July 10 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
