Charlotte E. Weaver, 99, worked at Miller-Hess, enjoyed cooking, birdwatching, Phils fan

Charlotte E. Weaver, 99, of Lancaster, formerly of Rothsville, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Golden Living Center of Lancaster.

She was born in Rothsville to the late Jacob G. and Mary (Gass) Conrad, and was the wife of the late Charles M. Weaver.

She had been a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Rothsville. During her working years, Charlotte was employed by the former Miller-Hess Shoe Co., Akron; cleaned private residences; and was a laundry attendant at Twin Brook Mobile Home Park. She enjoyed cooking, walking, birdwatching, and was a Phillies fan.

Charlotte is survived by three grandsons: Curtis, husband of Julie Weaver, of Lititz; D. Scott, husband of Joan Weaver, of Quarryville; Eric M., husband of Becky Weaver, of Coatesville; a great-grandson: Zachary Weaver; twin great-granddaughters: Abigail and Sara Weaver; and a great-great-grandson: Kaiden Weaver.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Conrad B. Weaver; three brothers: Wilmer, Henry, and Robert Conrad; and a sister: Susan Brubaker.

Services were held Dec. 15 at Stradling Funeral Home, Akron, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Miller officiating. Interment took place in the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.
