Cynthia Lefever, EHS grad, Donecker’s housekeeper

Cynthia G. Lefever, 52, of Ephrata, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at Masonic Village, Elizabethown.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Leroy Shupp and Pauline (Sweigart) Shupp Hornberger of Lebanon and was the wife of Larry Lefever, who she was married to for 32 years this past Dec. 30.

Cynthia was of the Methodist faith. She collected crackle glass and water globes and enjoyed doing word find puzzles. A 1977 graduate of Ephrata High School, Cynthia worked at Cinderella Knitting Mill and Sunline Coach. Most recently she worked as a housekeeper for Donecker’s Inn.

In addition to her husband and mother, Cynthia is survived by a daughter: Tracy L. Lefever, wife of James Eager II, of Ephrata; two brothers: Rick, husband of Linda (Raines) Shupp, of Schoeneck; and Barry Shupp, of Denver; a sister: Terri, wife of David Lorah Sr., of Manheim; and a grandson: Sean Lefever.

She was preceded in death by brothers: Craig Shupp and Kevin Shupp; and a sister: Kathy Earhart.

A memorial service will be held on Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 68 N. Church Street, Ephrata, with Pastor Walter S. Carter officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
