Deaths of Local Interest – June 4, 2014

Nora M. Ginder, 99, went to be with the Lord May 27 at Moravian Manor in Lititz. Nora enjoyed being outside and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She found joy in God and put her love for him above all else in her life. Her daughter, Deborah, wife of Robert Boyer and grandsons Matthew Boyer, husband of Jennifer, and Andrew Boyer, all reside in Ephrata. Her grandson, Michael Boyer, husband of Kelly, lives in Denver.

William J. “Willie” Harting, 45, of Leola, entered into rest June 1 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Willie was a counter person at Sid Harvey Industries, Lancaster for 27 years. A nurturing person, he cherished caring for his father. His brother, David Jr. husband of Christine Harting, lives in Brownstown.

Donna Todd Nevling died May 21. Born in Lancaster, she moved to Irvona 20 years ago. She loved her little Paradise in the mountains. She lived for her cats and dogs, which she rescued. Her brother, David Ruth and wife Carol, reside in Denver.

Anna Mary Shelly, 88, of Manheim, went home to be with the Lord May 31 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Earlier in her life Anna Mary worked for the former Travis Mills in Lititz. She was a member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She had a life-long passion for her family and enjoyed participating in many family activities. Her sister, Betty, wife of James Lentz, lives in Ephrata.
