Diane Louise Stehman, 68, Master Gardener, volunteered at Wellsboro Animal Care Sanctuary

Diane Louise (Frymyer) Stehman, 68, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 with her beloved husband, Ted Stehman, by her side.

Born in Lancaster on Sept. 23, 1949, Diane was the oldest of four siblings born to Robert and Kathleen Frymyer.

In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by her brother: Terry Frymyer; and sister: Debbie Croll; two daughters: Tiffani Todd and Keir-Lynn Gensler; her stepson: Todd; and stepdaughter: Tamra; her grandchildren: Savannah, Isabela, Hayden, Lochlainn, Thaddeus, Liam, Brantley, and Eleri; two step-grandsons: Brian and David; and two generations of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister: Melanie Sauder.

Diane was known for her big heart, love of animals and outgoing personality. Diane was a Master Gardener as well as an avid volunteer at the Wellsboro Animal Care Sanctuary, where she mainly focused on fostering kittens. In addition to her passion for plants and animals, you would rarely find Diane without a book in her hand and a smile on her face.

A memorial service was held March 3 at Carleton Funeral Home, Wellsboro.
