Kenneth H. Houtz, 79, EHS grad, accountant at Hocking Printing, AARP tax service volunteer
Kenneth H. Houtz, 79, passed away Friday, March 3, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen, Ind.
He was born Nov. 25, 1937, in Lebanon, to Harry and Thelma (Boyer) Houtz. On April 13, 1968, he married Judith Unruh in Harper, Kansas.
She survives, along with two daughters: Debra (James) Powell, Goshen, Ind.; and Jenifer (Bob) Fake, Jonestown; two granddaughters; and three siblings: Barbara (Joe) Smith and Donna (Tom) Roth, both of Ephrata; and Rick (Sandi) Houtz, Newark, Del.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenneth was a graduate of Ephrata High School, and worked as an accountant for Hocking Printing Inc., for 41 years. He was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church, Lions Club, and the American Legion. He volunteered at Greencroft, at Goshen Hospital, as a Red Coat, and with AARP tax service.
Friends may call Saturday, April 1, from 9:30 until the 10:30 a.m. memorial service at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen, Ind. Pastor Velma Swartz will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Heart and Vascular at Goshen Hospital or Goshen Home Care and Hospice, at goshenhealth.com/Foundation.
