Dorothy L. Stauffer, 86, Ephrata, RCA worker, enjoyed travel, spending time with family

Dorothy L. Stauffer, 86, of Ephrata, formerly of Lititz, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at Ephrata Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Allison, she was the daughter of the late Milford Johnson and Mary A. Thompson Johnson. She was married to the late Larry R. Stauffer, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Dorothy was a member of the Lititz United Methodist Church, and enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, crocheting, cooking, holiday entertaining, and her beloved Philadelphia Phillies. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She was employed for 28 years by RCA Corp., and retired in 1988. After retirement, Dorothy and Larry spent much of their time in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She is survived by her two children: Debra S. Fillo, Lititz; and Larry R. Stauffer Jr. Brigantine, N.J. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Dana, Tamra, Cindy, Eric, Steven, Jeffrey, Laura, Philip, and Jessica; along with 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was the last of her immediate family.

Services were held July 11 at Spacht Snyder Funeral Home, Lititz, with Rev. Gerard McGrath officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Dorothy’s name to the Landis Homes Adult Day Care Program, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
