Dorothy Mae Bitting, 99, homemaker, enjoyed cooking for others, devoted to her family

Dorothy Mae Bitting, 99, of Keystone, Villa, Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born in Allentown to the late William and Goldie Mae (Miller) Snyder, and was the wife of the late R. John Bitting.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed keeping a spotless house and cooking for others. She was devoted to her family, particularly her granddaughters

Dorothy is survived by a daughter: Jane, wife of Joseph Higdon of Ephrata; three granddaughters: Christina Fletcher, Colleen Greenberg, Caroline Higdon; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son: John David Bitting.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
