Edna R. Zimmerman, 83, mother of six, enjoyed cooking holiday meals, time with grandkids

Edna R. (Wagner) Zimmerman, 83, of Stevens, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Brecknock Township to the late John and Viola (Musser) Wagner, and was the wife of the late Carl Zimmerman, who passed away in 2011.

Edna’s greatest joy was to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, especially holiday meals, and also loved to garden.

Edna is survived by three sons: Robert (Brenda Martin) Zimmerman of Ephrata; Thomas Zimmerman of Stevens; and Frank (Kari James) Zimmerman of Leola; three daughters: Carol (Rod) Martin of Stevens; Shirley (Jim) Fern of Wisconsin; Michelle (LeRoy) Reiff of Denver; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother: Paul (Helen Fisher) Wagner of Denver; and a sister: Betty Bucher of Reinholds.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson: Mason Reiff; three sisters: Helen Snyder, Marcella Snader, and Cora Wagner; and a brother: Cal Wagner.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family, with interment in the Red Run Mennonite Cemetery.
